In this post, I am not going to teach you how to do SEO, that would be impossible to do within one post. I am just going to explain what it is and give you some places to go to learn more about it. SEO is massive and complicated, but this post will be the perfect starting point to any SEO journey.
What is SEO? I hear everyone talking about it.
Search engine optimization or SEO is the process of improving the quality and quantity of website traffic to a website or a web page from search engines. SEO targets unpaid traffic rather than direct traffic or paid traffic.
In layman’s terms, it makes your site look good to Google so it gives you a higher position in the search engine. In turn, more people will come across and visit your website. We all know that more visits mean more customers which translates into more money!
SEO takes a lot to see results. It isn’t something you can just leave and it will happen. You have to put in the effort to get the results, if your goal is to grow your site, start with SEO. You can use this checklist by Semrush, using this will help show you exactly what you need to do to improve your SEO.
If It has fallen to you, and it’s not something that you want to do. I’m sorry, but it is a constant battle. It is worth keeping on top of though. I recommend allocating some time to SEO each week this way you won’t fall behind on your website SEO.
